Welcome to Lancaster University Freefall Society!

Come and skydive with us!

It’s one of those things that people always think about doing but rarely get around to. Trying it out at University is a really good way to get into the sport though.

There are several ways that you can achieve your first jump; which one is for you normally depends on whether you want to take skydiving up as a serious sport or just do it as a one off.

The two main types of first jump are ‘static line’ and tandem. These are explained in detail in the ‘Courses’ section and the ‘Tandem’ section respectively.

If you keep up the sport, you can become a qualified jumper and can jump anywhere in the UK. You can also go further afield – members of the exec have jumped in Spain and California!

Take a look around the website; if you like what you see head to the contact us page and let us know!

Blue skies,

Lancaster Freefall.

P.S. If you’re from Lincolnshire and want to do a tandem, read on!

Take a Tandem skydiving jump from the dizzy height of 15000ft which is the highest altitude its possible to jump from in the UK. Situated in between Leeds, York, Sheffield, Hull and Lincoln, they offer tandem parachuting courses for complete beginners to this exciting extreme sport. The centre has been in operation since the mid-90s at its present location in the beautiful Lincolnshire wolds and is one of the biggest centres in the UK. As part of your skydiving adventure, you can also choose to raise money for a charity. Simply raise double the value of your jump and it is paid for.
